About the Journal

PHAJIGS is a multidisciplinary, open-access, peer-reviewed academic journal based in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. Registered under ISSN 3093-0847, the journal publishes original scholarship across the humanities, social sciences, education, and applied general-studies disciplines.

Scope

The journal welcomes empirical, theoretical, review, and case-study manuscripts on any topic within its multidisciplinary remit. Contributions from early-career and established researchers are encouraged, and the editorial board is committed to rigorous review turnaround and author-friendly correspondence.

Open access

All articles published in PHAJIGS are freely available to read, download, cite, and share. Authors retain copyright of their work under a Creative Commons licence, while readers gain unrestricted access without paywalls, subscriptions, or embargo periods.

Peer review

Submissions undergo double-blind peer review by at least two subject specialists. Reviewers evaluate originality, methodological rigour, clarity of argument, and scholarly significance. The editorial decision — accept, revise, or reject — is communicated in a structured decision letter with reviewer comments.

A researcher-friendly platform

PHAJIGS is committed to being a modern, researcher-friendly publishing platform. Authors can track their submission status, correspond with editors through the portal, and receive structured feedback. Readers benefit from Google Scholar indexing, Crossref DOIs, machine-readable citations, and mobile-optimised article pages.

Originality screening

Every submission is screened for originality using a combination of fingerprint matching against our corpus, Crossref cross-referencing, and targeted web search. The resulting report is reviewed by the handling editor before a decision is made.

Publication frequency

PHAJIGS publishes on a defined schedule. Volume 2, Issue 1 is scheduled for release in June 2026. Future issues will be announced through the journal website and the editorial mailing list.

Indexing

We are working toward inclusion in major scholarly indexing services, with Crossref DOI registration active from Volume 2 onward. Volume 1 articles are being retrospectively deposited.
